Not everyone hits “PAY DIRT” 1st time round…

If you’ve ever thought of giving up, take a look at a few examples of successful people and you might just think twice…

  • Henry Ford – broke 5 times before founding FORD Motor Company
  • Bill Gates – The Microsoft legend. Dropped out of Harvard and failed first business venture.
  • Walt Disney – “he lacked imagination, and had no good ideas”
  • Albert Einstein – Didn’t speak until after age 4 and couldn’t read until after age 7. His parents thought he was mentally handicapped and antisocial. He won a Nobel Prize for Physics.
  • Thomas Edison – told he was stupid, was fired from first 2 jobs. Failed over 1000 times when trying to make a light bulb, but eventually succeeded
  • Jerry Seinfeld – booed off stage at first live gig, but came back and tried again and the rest is history.
  • Michael Jordan – Cut from high school basketball team, has missed over 9000 shots, lost 300 games and missed the buzzer beater shot to win the game 26 times.

What is it about this group of people that makes them different?

Successful people commit to taking personal responsibility for their career success.  They set high goals and do whatever it takes to achieve them.  They also react positively to the people and events in their lives – especially the negative people and events.  This small chosen group of people all ended up being wildly successful and well known.

Let them be an example for you the next time you feel like giving up.
